1 Purpose. To help people
create remarkable lives

My name is Ben Barrus. I train and speak on a concept called The Steward Principle which I developed while building businesses and organizations over the past 18 years.  The premise of The Steward Principle is this:  “better people, better people”.  You may have heard the term ‘hurt people, hurt people” where someone who has been injured or hurt in some way then repeats that same cycle in another area or stage of life.  The concept of “better people, better people” simply means that those who are well enough along are able to help others on a similar journey.

The Steward Principle begins by teaching attendees to recognize their own basic strengths while simultaneously helping them understand that many people have helped (and continue to help) them along the way.  The training moves cleanly along a sequential path with six additional stops before arriving at the final destination where we learn how we can become very, very good at the things we wish to improve in our lives.

The training is fun and interactive and can be condensed to as little as 30 minutes, or expanded to an hour or more with Q/A.

If you want your team, business or organization to have a solid platform to build on, The Steward Principle is a must.

Learn more about the STEWARD Principle and see why it is such a great self help tool!

  • The Steward Principle is a straight forward, easy to digest set prompts and guideposts to
help you become a better version of yourself. You are already amazing but if you are reading this, there is a good chance you are looking for something more in your life. That’s where we start. It’s impossible for us to help anyone who 1. has the perfect life or 2. is unwilling to change. Everyone else is invited to the party.
  • The most effective way to become familiar with the Steward Principle is to hear about it in
person. We can meet personally with your organization so unbox the material which will be
customized to your teams and situation. The interactive lesson is so effective because your
group will be able to ask questions specific to your organization and be coached to use the
Steward Principle in real time to move forward with goals, ambitions and the like.

As has been said, if you are not growing, you are dying . The self help section of the book store includes thousands of books on self development, and the crazy thing is they all repeat about the same 6-9 basic talking points. Through decades of personal study I’ve been able to observe the patterns, boil down the real points and organize them in a way that you can recall them in a moments notice and apply them to your current situation.

As you become familiar with the Steward Principle you’ll quickly recognize that you’ve
applied this same pattern in your life over and over. Most people can’t articulate how or why
they are where they are and the Steward Principle helps reverse engineer and pinpoint past
growth so you can do it again. This builds an enormous amount of confidence in a short
period which will help you become and stay engaged in your life again.

What this is not: This is not a ra-ra session with loud music and a generic message created
for the masses. Your training will be customized to you and your teams situation. You’ll be
able to ask questions and get answers in real time that apply specifically to you.

Ben Barrus

Since the year 2000, Ben has started, owned, built and/or sold well over a dozen businesses in various industries from lodging, transportation, manufacturing, construction, wholesale, retail, housing and leadership development.  He’s had one “real job” in his adult life and says “that was plenty”.   Being an entrepreneur is his passion, and he loves helping people succeed.

During the past two decades of operating businesses, he’s not only taught, trained and coached his own teams, he’s also spoken to and trained hundreds of people in various civic, business and religious organizations.  He’s comfortable in groups of five to 500 or more.
